Dis - Small Fry Sessions 1&2 (1993) & M386.D57 (1994)

I was uploading this for someone and I figured I'd just throw it up here while I'm at it.  These are Dis' first two albums which have been long out of print and I really don't see them ever coming back into print.  So this is another "guilt free" download for all of you.  I guess you could describe Milwuakee's Dis as being on the poppier side of math-rock.

  2. The other day, I heard a neighbor's band practice coming out of alley and had flashbacks of my time in Milwaukee in the 90's. To my dismay, my Dis- albums didn't come up in my itunes. So, thank you! You saved me a trip to storage and the likely frustration of never finding these two albums again.

  4. Thanks for these, Small Fry Sessions is particularly terrific. Wish decent bands wouldn't keep reforming & blowing their mystique though, Slint were pretty ho-hum when I was them here... IBx

  8. Technically, Dis- haven't reunited. Chris (the guitar player) and Rob (the bass player) formed the band "Flaum Adger" which is them with Mac from The Jesus Lizard playing drums. They had to go on hiatus when The Jesus Lizard reunited to do their world tour, but Mac vowed to return to the band after TJL tour was over. I know Chris and Rob, but I haven't really talked to them in a number of months, so I'm not 100% sure Flaum Adger is still a thing. I've seen them play a few times and I like them.

You can hear a few rehearsal space recordings here:
