Much of Melbourne's Grey Daturas music is noise/drone in a loose, improvised, experimental kind of way. This release seems to have more of a rock structure to it. Just a "little" bit that is... For fans of The Dead C or Bardo Pond.
This blog's intent is to talk about and promote the music we love. People forget that music is actual intellectual property and what the artists do for a living, so we don't want to cost the artists sales.
All of the music linked here has been supplied for evaluation, resource, preview and review purposes only. If you like what you hear, buy the album and support the artist; none of the albums posted here should be seen as a substitute to the actual RIAA approved product, so don't pirate.
And as for the occasional bootleg or out-of-print rarity we post, well, still go out of your way to support the artist. Buy their albums, merchandise, catch a show. You get the idea. Just don't don't rip off the artists who went through all the effort making the wonderful music that entertains and inspires you.
These guys fucking rock. I saw them a couple of months back in a warehouse in Sydney. Fucking amazing. Talked to them for a bit, too. Nice people.
ReplyDeleteSaw them earlier this year myself. Their whole set was one song basically. Just a improvised mess of noise. It was fantastic!
